We're sorry to hear that you did not receive a response from the sitter you contacted. Sitters sometimes forget to update their calendars or might be taking a break from dog sitting but have not deactivated their listing.
We always encourage and remind our sitters to respond to owners as soon as possible. We send them emails, SMSs and push notifications on the app to remind them. We also regularly conduct checks and deactivate sitters with low response rates.
When considering which sitters to contact, we suggest the following:
Take into consideration their response rate and response time, both listed under the Credentials section of their listing.
- Make your dog Visible, so we show it to other available sitters in your area. If sitters “like” your dog, they will be added to your Sitter Wish List. Contacting sitters who have already liked your dog makes it much more likely that you will receive a quick and positive response, as they have already reviewed your dog’s information and would be happy to take care of it.
